FAQ

What do I need for my online session?

You will need a private location, a device with video call capabilities, a reliable internet connection, and optional fitness equipment based on your specific goals. I will guide you through the process, maximizing the effectiveness of your session. We will talk about your health history, symptoms, and goals. I will watch you move and will put together a treatment plan.

When Should I Start Treatment?

If you currently have symptoms involving your pelvic floor now is a great time to get help. Pregnancy is another great time to work on preparing for birth as a way to reduce risk and improve outcomes postpartum. If you have had a baby in the past year you may benefit from pelvic floor treatment. Getting help before symptoms begin is a great way to prevent issues from arising. However, many people have issues well beyond childbirth or before any pregnancy occurs. Now is a great time to start no matter your situation.

What is an in-person evaluation like?

During an in-person evaluation we will talk about your health history, symptoms, and goals. An examination will take place that may include looking at your hips, back, and abdominal region. A pelvic exam is often recommended. This may include an external exam and an internal exam. These exams are performed to check for things like muscle strength, coordination, and tender points. I will create a treatment plan based on the information I find.

What are the benefits to an online session?

Our online sessions allows easy access to care from anywhere. There are no long wait times making connecting with an expert that much easier. There are times in life when getting into a clinic is challenging. This could include pregnancy, postpartum, illness, childcare issues, or not having a pelvic floor expert near you. Online sessions bridge the gap for times when in person treatment is not possible.
